We are proud to announce that our vaccination program for workers in the Ciudad Juárez maquiladora industry continues to move forward. At a press conference on July 6, El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego announced the program to vaccinate 50,000 maquiladora workers at the El Tornillo, Texas border crossing, some 40 miles east of El Paso.
The program is a joint effort carried out by several agencies, including El Paso County, the Mexican consulate in El Paso, the government of Ciudad Juárez, Texas State Government, the University Medical Center (UMC), El Paso County Emergency Services, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) El Paso Sector, Asociación de Maquiladoras, A.C. (AMAC)-Index Juárez, and the USMC Strategic Alliance.
